AN INTERACTIVE MAP FOR THE TRAVELLING PHOTOGRAPHER ON THE PICADILLY LINE.
One of our briefs given by my college was to find a way to help explore my local community. To celebrate all things about my area including all it’s great facilities, and this interactive map will be situated at various locations within my community.
As a long-time londoner and photographer - who has taken countless train journeys into the heart of London via the piccadilly line and has pretty much gotten off at every single stop for photoshoots. It only felt natural to create a personal portfolio containing all my beloved spots - thus - Photographer on The Piccadilly Line was born.
This map is not only limited to just being a portfolio of my own photographical work - but also serves as a “review and recommend” page for those interested in street photography, architecture, and even spots that are “instagrammable.”
Just like the underground’s sleek and minimal look - I implemented that into the design of the home-page of the interactive map. With title and train-lines to keep information organised and easy to infer. The colour scheme was also made into monochrome, a personal flare that paid homage to my love for black and white photography. These monochromatic shades enables for the observes to absorb the picture as as a whole - and brings out the intricacy and everyday of London.
Photographer On The Piccadilly conception was initially mocked up via keynote. But also was modified to a kiosk version - of which could be dotted around the Piccadilly line.
